Woo Kook - March Special

WOO KOOK
3385 W. 8th St. Los Angeles CA 90005

Woo Kook is a fine bbq restaurant with a little bit of higher price. Good quality of meat, nice interior, good service, etc. AND, I found their lunch special only for March on newspaper. So, ladies in my office went to see, I mean, eat. =P

Basically they advertise 2 dishes (gal-bee-tang & bibimbob) for $7.99 each. Gal-bee-tang is beef ribs soup and bibimbob is blending rice bowl with different kinds of vegetables and some meat.

Their banchan (side dishes come out before the food you ordered) was GOOD to begine with. Especially their potato salad was really good, it had squash and apple in it. We had to order 3 more of them. Banchans are free of charge & unlimited in all Korean places as long as you don't bug them too much.

Banchan~
Dawn, yeah that one... potato salad.

There were other dishes that is already marked at $7.99 in their menu.
One of them was this, Kimchi Pork hot pot. Really good. Hm~ Not THAT much spicy.

So, this one is the Gal-Bee-Tang, beef ribs soup. One of the best gal-bee-tang I've had.
Be ready to get serious with the ribs. Yeah.

Their lunch special table ads. The top one is Bibimbob.
I was busy eating, couldn't take pictures when Ana got this.

ONE THING: some of their English menu doesn't contain all information you may need.
Ask for those.
1. "Does this have meat in it?"
2. "Is this meat/fish raw?"

It gets packed during lunch time here. But there are some parking spots on the street and their valet parking is $1.
